Wilmington, NC

I'm a little late on getting this post up but hey, better late than never, right?

I love Wilmington and I cannot wait to share about our latest trip there. My husband and I actually used to live in North Carolina. We resided in the Jacksonville area specifically but Wilmington wasn't a far drive from us. My husbands family actually still lives in NC so we visit from time to time. During our last trip up there, we decided to stop in Wilmington!

Our first day was spent "site seeing." Also known as fan girl-ing (again) over all of the One Tree Hill houses and locations. I've been obsessed with OTH for as long as I can remember and it honestly makes going to Wilmington feel so special.

When I wasn't stalking filming sites and running into other OTH fans - we were pretty much just eating or drinking. My husband and I make it a point to visit breweries every time we go to a new city. The last time we were in Wilmington was 2014 and they only had one brewery at the time. We chose to give Ironclad Brewing, Wilmington Brewing and New Anthem Beer Project all a try this time around. All three had great beer and awesome atmospheres. We also stumbled upon a craft beer shop, Bombers Beer Co which was conveniently located right next to the hotel we were staying at.

We had lunch at Front Street Brewery and dinner at Beer Barrio our first day. I also found delicious macaroons at Pink Baking Co. We enjoyed coffee at Bespoke Coffee Co the following morning and grabbed donuts at Wake N Bake shortly after before heading out. We walked along River Street and took in all the views both days. Our hotel stay was at Courtyard Wilmington Downtown/Historic District which was the perfect location for everything we did. It was such a quick trip but as always, Wilmington charmed us and we loved every minute of it.
