As of September 22nd, fall has “officially” arrived and I couldn’t be more excited! This is my absolute favorite time of year. The unfortunate part is that I live in the south… so fall doesn’t exactly exist. But hey, who says you can’t get into the spirit of the season even if the weather isn’t on board?!
I decided to put together a fall bucket list! Some of the items on my list are specific to where I live but I’m sure if you don’t live in the Georgia/Florida area, you could still find some similar things!
Get your Halloween Movie fix - watch fan favorites such as Hocus Pocus and the HalloweenTown series. If you’re in the Jacksonville area, they are doing a showing of Hocus Pocus this evening, September 28th, at the Seawalk Pavilion!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch - We went to the patch at Isle of Faith Church on Beach Blvd last year (again, for my locals) and we plan to go this year as well. Such a great selection and the cutest set up for photos! We also want to check out the patch at Congaree and Penn this year. Their patch will be open from October 10th to the 19th and they will be hosting food trucks during those dates. They also have a cider garden now!
Visit a Corn Maze - For anyone in my area, I’ve heard wonderful things about Conners A-Maze-Ing Acres. So many photo opportunities!
Go to a Haunted House - I get so nervous for these lol. Plus I always get spooked BUT I do actually enjoy them. I haven’t been to one in quite sometime so I’d like to visit one this year.
Oktoberfest - My husband and I plan to attend the event at Anheuser-Busch and we cannot wait! This will be taking place on the 13th and 14th of October. Stay tuned for more details on this because I have an exciting giveaway coming! Side note: They also do a haunted brewery zombie hunt on Oct 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th for anyone interested!
Go to a Fall Festival - There are always tons of these going on throughout the month of October. If you’re in the Jacksonville area, Wicked Barley Brewing is having a pumpkin festival and fall market on October 6th. They will have all kinds of vendors and pumpkin inspired drinks.. count me in!
Dress up for Halloween and pass out candy - This includes dressing up your fur babies too, duh!
Bake all of the yummy pumpkin and caramel apple inspired treats - I’ve already whipped up my pumpkin cheesecake bread but there are so many more things to be made!
Consume everything pumpkin flavored - Cheerios pumpkin spice cereal, Starbucks pumpkin spice iced macchiatos and Bluebells pumpkin pecan ice cream are just a few that I’ve had so far!
Carve pumpkins - we haven’t done this in a few years but I’m making it point to do this time around.
Enjoy the season!
Well, that about sums up my Fall Bucket List. What are your must do’s for this time of year? I’d love to hear about it below!
